A tactical Katana is made more for survival purpose than a traditional style Japanese sword. A tactical katana has very plain features but can be used better in adverse conditions and for a variety of purposes. The Ten Ryu Tactical Katana features a thick, hand forged full tang 1045 carbon steel blade which is shaped for heavier cutting duty. The guard is flat with twin holes in it which can be used for a number of survival situations. The Handle is checkered for a non slip grip, is triple riveted to the tang and has a lanyard with paracord. The scabbard is wood with a textured black finish and has a length of paracord wrapped around it for multiple carry options or use in the field. The Ten Ryu Tactical Katana is one of the best battle ready swords for survival or the eventual zombie apocalypse.
