Product Features

The Tachi was the sword of the samurai before the Katana became commonplace. The Ten Ryu Imperial Tachi is is the more modern style with a blade shaped more like a katana but with the tachi style mount. The Imperial Tachi sword is battle ready and has a hand forged, full tang 1045 high carbon steel blade. The tsuba is done in grey and gold with a flower motif. The handle is wood, wrapped in black leather and faux black ray skin. The fittings are all ornate (as most Tachi were) and continue the same gold and grey flower theme. The Saya is wood with a metallic orange lacquer finish and traditional tachi mount and sageo.
