Maces, Flails and War Clubs

On the medieval Battlefield, a Mace or Flail was one of the scariest weapons to come up against. A mace is basically a metal club, but many would have flanges that could tear armor and flesh. A Flail is a wooden or metal handle with a heavy metal ball attached with a chain. The velocity a Flail would hit with would be devastating, not to mention when they would add spikes to the weapon! A war club is a more primitive weapon, but no less intimidating. A war club is usually a big piece of wood with a bigger hitting end.  Some war clubs also have spikes for armor piercing ability.
